At EIUFF, our volunteers, ambassadors, and previewers are a central part of our mission to support the next generation of filmmakers. By joining EIUFF, you become part of an international community that discovers new talent, supports emerging voices, and helps bring independent film to new audiences.
Whether you are promoting the festival as an ambassador or reviewing films as a previewer, you will gain real experience, industry insight, and valuable connections whilst helping us build a platform dedicated to young and emerging filmmakers. EIUFF Ambassador
What is an Ambassador?
We are currently recruiting ambassadors. An EIUFF Ambassador is an individual who represents and promotes the Edinburgh International University Film Festival within their personal and professional networks. As an ambassador, you will be the face of EIUFF to your community, sharing our mission, encouraging film submissions, and helping build excitement around the festival!
Key Responsibilities:

Promote the Festival across social media and through word of mouth to your networks

Share Updates about submission deadlines, festival announcements, and events

Encourage Submissions from filmmakers within your network

Engage Your Community and help build awareness of EIUFF's mission

Promote Ticket Sales and encourage attendance at festival events

Who We're Looking For:

18+ university or college students, or recent graduates

Well-connected within the film community

Active on social media or have a content creation channel

Genuinely interested in gaining marketing and film industry experience

Enthusiastic about supporting emerging filmmakers

Time Commitment
-
Flexible and remote. Most active promotion happens April-May 2026, leading up to the festival (September 2026)
Important Note
As an Ambassador, you cannot submit films to the EIUFF competition section. However, you are welcome to submit films to our Out of Competition section, a non-competitive screening category for ambassadors and industry guests.
